CES 2017 Faraday Future FF91

Faraday Future FF 91 is their first production vehicle that will change the future of mobility. FF 91, pronounced FF-Nine-One, features monocoque vehicle structure resulting improved overall vehicle rigidity, safety and handling. In addition, FF 91’s powertrain is absolutely ridiculous. Rear-wheel steering to execute sharp and/or sudden turns even under accelerating environment. Peak motor power is 783 kW, equating to 1050 HP, delivering 0-60 MPH in 2.39 seconds.

Battery

FF 91’s battery technology is confidently better than Tesla’s. FF 91 features 130kWh battery, achieving up to 378 miles and over 700 km in a single charge. FF 91 also has the fastest charging speed, more than 500 miles per hour. The home charger, included with the vehicle, charges 50% to full charge in 4.5 hours using 240V.

Safety

FF 91 could be the safest vehicle ever in the history of mobile vehicle. FF 91 features retractable 3D Lidar, a critical component to multi-layer redundancy for autonomous driving. Lidar is part of a complex sensor system using 10 HD cameras, 13 long and short range radars, and 12 ultra sonic sensors. FF 91 possess more sensors than any other vehicles that’s in production today.

All in all…

Faraday Future is no longer a future, it’s a Faraday Now. I’m glad Faraday Future actually made it. We’ve seen many concept designs from vehicle giants such as Toyota, Mercedes, and more. However, we’ve seen enough of that, we wanted the real deal and Faraday Future brought it to us. If you wish to reserve one of these, you could reserve it for $5,000 through their website. The production of FF 91 is planned to start in 2018, and I hope to see them in the roads pretty soon.
